A basic manouver was employed here to add slightly more depth and detail to my already developing contents page. I had finally gotton around to inserting the text for one of my main feature headlines (which was describing the alternative artist 'Lana Del Rey') as I now majorly needed to incorporate articles to ensure the document appeared more 'alive', appealing and attracting to the audience as if it was bursting with a wide array of information to divulge in they would more then likely by intrigued to read my product if essentially it personified across as worth their time to get immersed within. I kept the text style basic so as not to appear too overly powerful in the visual appeal sense as this can be off putting to readers if there is a large sum of dominant conflicting articles on the page, in this case I employed the use of the 'Times New Roman' font to give an indication this body of words was essentially not as major in importance compared to the headline of the article.
I got around to adding in the second feature article, this one was most central to the success of my product as it referenced directly back to the black and white image I had included besides of it. This way the reader could directly establish continuity throughout the magazine as they would be able to relate that the text was connected with the photo with them being placed in the nearest vicinity to one another. The title of the story was displayed in the 'Bebas Nevau' style as what can be seen in the remainder of the headliner fonts (such as the contents, subscribe and additional features cover ups) as this would continue the style, flow and feel that is running throughout 'Void' itself.
With the majority of the bylines for my articles filled in I set to work on completing vital touch ups on the remainder of the conventions to guarantee they were at there full optimum and potential of attracting a suitable audience. Under the 'Subcribe' heading in the right hand corner, I began adjusting its perception to the reader by including extra wording beneath it, obviously to make it more attractive but provide vital information describing how they can benefit more from a subscription . Advertising an offer can enhance the appeal of any publication as it is something that will directly benefit the reader, moreover this can act as a substantial prompt to purchase if its seems like a 'win win' situation to them.
Now that I had successfully edited the second accompanying image as a method to reinforce the dominance of my central photograph, I inserted it alongside the 'Subcribe' article to illustrate the idea that it was connected directly to the words near to its underlying presence. This demonstrates to my audience that the two different elements are related to one another so that link can be established. I thought it would be quite amusing to have my male model indulging in a 'Q' magazine, the comical expression stretched across his face ties in perfectly with the words in the text 'would you really want to read 'Q' magazine?, this gets my readers to be more inclined to buy my product as it makes itself look superior in relation to the multi million pound branded edition that it is mocking., further more this may persuade them that my magazine is more interesting than 'Q' in terms of features it contains which can be a further prompt to consider making the all important buy.
With my contents now nearing completion it was essentially extremely important for me to additionally drop in the smallest of conventions as these can ultimately portray the 'make or break' scenario with my piece of coursework. I added the page number in a solid black box at the bottom left hand corner of the document, this allows my reader to recognise distinctly which section of my production they are currently at and acts as a direct reference point in the respects they had to locate it again. Finally I ensured the month the issue was published at was present as well, I feel this is more for collective purposes as for individuals who like to keep past issues it acts as an indication of which copy they have of the magazine. Importantly it will provide information to the audience members who may have missed a few issues of 'Void' and informs them of the current issue month etc.
